OPPORTUNITY: MUSIC IN HOSPITALS AND CARE – PROFESSIONAL MUSICIANS WANTED

Music in Hospitals and Care, a charity dedicated to providing live music to people in healthcare settings across the UK, is currently seeking freelance musicians to be involved in performing as part of their Music for Mental Health and Wellbeing project. 

 

This project acknowledges the transformative impact of live music in making hospital experiences less stressful, alleviating pain perception and enhancing physical and emotional health. They are looking for professional solo, duo, or trio musicians, with an affinity for orchestral or world instruments and vocals. The ability to present a variety of musical genres is desirable to cater to diverse musical tastes of our listeners. Experience in health care settings is a must.

 

This is a brilliant opportunity to harness your talent for a noble cause, gain valuable experience, and potentially contribute to other health and care settings as part of our wider live music programme. In return, the following will be provided:

  • Training and support
  • Fixed fee per session
  • Travel expenses

 

Applications from musicians based in Greater Glasgow & Clyde and the central belt are welcome. Successful musicians will also have opportunities to work in other health and care settings as part of the wider music programme.
