OPPORTUNITY: GLASGOW UNESCO CITY OF MUSIC – MUSICIANS SMALL AWARDS SCHEME

In celebration of 15 years since Glasgow’s recognition as the UK’s first UNESCO City of Music, Glasgow Life announces an award scheme for local musicians.

 

This initiative commemorates Glasgow’s vibrant contribution to the UNESCO Creative Cities Network and alignment with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Glasgow stands proud amongst fifty-nine UNESCO music cities globally.

 

Awards on Offer

  •  £750: For musicians with over 5 years of experience.
  • £500: For budding musicians with less than 5 years’ experience post-education.

 

Who Should Apply?

  • Musicians or bands based or resident in Glasgow.
  • Those willing to create or further their music in any genre.
  • Projects must resonate with at least one of Glasgow UNESCO City of Music’s supported SDGs:
    • Good health and wellbeing
    • Quality education
    • Decent work and economic growth

 

How to Participate?
1. Email a CV and covering letter detailing your proposal and its significance to your career at creativecityglasgow@glasgowlife.org.uk.
2. Ensure alignment with the scheme’s guidelines.
