Applications for South by South SXSW Music Festival are currently open, offering potential Showcasing Artists an unparalleled opportunity to gain visibility and connect with key influencers from the music industry. Bands from all genres can apply to perform in Austin, Texas, from 11th-16th March 2024. This premier platform connects artists with a global audience of industry professionals, media members, and music enthusiasts.
The SXSW Festival has historically been a game-changer for many artists due to the exposure and publicity generated by the influential participants who annually attend the event.
Eligibility for Music Showcase applications:
- Open to all music genres
- Artists worldwide can apply
- Accepting both signed and unsigned artists
- Each selected act is guaranteed one official SXSW showcase performance
- The average showcase slot runs for 40 minutes
Please note, SXSW does not provide artist backline or cover travel and accommodation expenses.
Application deadlines + fees:
- Early bird: $35 until 25th August 2023
- Final application: $55 until 27th October 2023
Within 48 hours of submitting your application, a confirmation email from SXSW will be dispatched. If not received, it is recommended to follow up by email to confirm the status of your application. Invited performers will be notified by or before December 19, 2023.
