One year since Covid-19 forced the live music sector into silence, UK Music is hosting a lunchtime webinar event to explore what needs to be done to get live music back on stage.
In ‘Lockdown One Year On: How Do We Ensure The Music Industry Can Deliver The Sounds of Summer?’, their line-up of panellists from across the industry discuss what support the industry needs to put on a great summer of music across the UK.
Chaired by UK Music’s Chief Executive Jamie Njoku-Goodwin, our stellar line up of panellists include:
- Chair of the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Music and Member of Parliament for Somerset and Frome David Warburton MP.
- Ben Lovett, Grammy and Brit Award-winning musician, producer and member of Mumford & Sons. Ben is also the CEO of Venue Group and founder of the London venues Omeara and Lafayette.
- Director of Communications and Strategy Boomtown Fair, Anna Wade. Anna gave evidence earlier this year to the DCMS Select Committee for their inquiry on the future of festivals.
- James Ainscough, Chief Executive of Help Musicians UK, which has distributed £15m of financial hardship funding to nearly 20,000 musicians throughout the UK.
- Roxanne de Bastion is an artist. She also sits on the board of the Featured Artist Coalition and PPL.
