SMIA Workshops: Partnerships and Working With Brands

As part of the SMIA’s innovation-led development programme, designed to help nurture business talent and build infrastructure in Scotland’s music industry, we will be hosting a free entry workshop on Partnerships and Working with Brands at Summerhall (in The Old Lab room) in Edinburgh, taking place on Tuesday 4 December from 2pm – 5pm.

About the Workshop

This workshop will explore how you form partnerships in the music business, how you develop these relationships, and best practices to evaluate and find out what works. The workshop will be suitable for anyone looking to collaborate with brands and grow their business, whether you’re just starting out and formulating ideas for a project or if you’re looking to expand the number of brands and partners you work with.

This workshop is being delivered by Richy Muirhead. Richy is the founder and creative director of the Scottish Alternative Music Awards (SAMAs). The SAMAs work with a range of music organisations and sponsors to deliver exciting Scottish music showcase events, and the annual awards. Richy also co-ordinates monthly business events for Glasgow digital agency Boyd Digital, and creates content for BBC The Social with a focus on record shopping and music. With nine years music industry experience Richy has a keen interest in events, partnerships and marketing.

RSVP now to confirm your attendance as places are limited.

We look forward to seeing you there!
