SMIA Presents: Crowdfunding Workshop

We will be hosting a Crowdfunding Workshop at Glasgow’s The Old Hairdressers on October 30th from 10:00am – 13:00pm with Tim Wright is Director and co-founder of twintangibles – a management consultancy that helps organisations create value from accessing the crowd economy.

A leading thinker and practitioner on crowdfunding Tim is co-author with Daniela Castrataro of “Crowdfunding – Come finanziarsi online. Introduzione al finanziamento collaborativo sul web” and the forthcoming “Crowdfunding to Win” and “CrowdAsset – Crowdfunding for Policy Makers” (2019). He was also commissioned to research and write both editions of the Scottish Crowdfunding Report.

Content of Workshop

A practical and accessible workshop it will provide:
– An overview of the forms and models of crowdfunding, and some market sizing information and key characteristics which make this form of funding distinctive, with some sectoral specific examples.
– An introduction to the repeatable methodology and structure of preparing and running a crowdfunding campaign
– Key considerations and decision points for the use of crowdfunding and common success factors
– Practical workshop exercises to begin the process of fleshing out the basic ideas for a crowdfunding campaign for the attendees.
