Location: Glasgow – subSine | Academy of Music
Salary: £10.90 p/h (real living wage), 7 hours per day
Working Pattern: 2 days per week between 24 May – 17 August
Contract: Part-time, 25 days in total
The Right Track is seeking a Trainee to support in the coordination of an exciting new youth programme focused on electronic music production.
The Right Track is a six-week initiative supported by Creative Scotland, aimed at educating young individuals aged 16 to 25 in the basics of electronic music production. Participants will also acquire additional skills such as DJing and a comprehensive understanding of the music industry. The weekly sessions, taking place from June 29th to August 3rd, will be held at subSine | Academy of Music in Glasgow.
In addition to assisting with program operations, the successful candidate has the opportunity to actively engage in the instructional sessions, making this an exceptional chance for someone passionate about electronic music to expand their knowledge of production and the music industry, while also gaining hands-on experience with a new project.
Main responsibilities:
• Support the project’s administrative needs: e.g. organise
travel and subsistence, respond to participant’s emails
• Support the lead tutor during teaching sessions
• Support monitoring and engagement on the digital forum
• Liaise with external partners and guest tutors
• Support the project’s monitoring and evaluation process
• Any other reasonable duties appropriate to this role
Must have:
• Good communication skills both written and verbal
• IT skills including Word, Excel, Outlook
• Strong organisational skills
• Friendly and hardworking
• Passion for electronic music
Desirable:
• Enjoys bad puns and silly memes
