WOMEX (World Music Expo), the global music event celebrating diversity in music, is coming to Manchester from 23-27 October 2024. This year, WOMEX is looking for artists, musicians, DJs, producers, filmmakers, and music professionals to participate across four categories: Showcase, Club, Film, and Conference & Mentoring.
Selected music showcases will feature two prominent performance opportunities: on the official WOMEX programme and on the Horizons Stage. The latter is dedicated to highlighting outstanding music talents from England, Ireland, Northern Ireland, Scotland, and Wales.
Proposal Opportunities
Showcase: Artists from all musical genres, including blues and jazz, are encouraged to apply for a chance to perform in front of an international audience of bookers, promoters, labels, distributors, journalists, and industry professionals.
Club Summit: This category is open to DJs and producers across all musical and electronic genres. It offers a platform to present their work to a global audience.
Film: WOMEX seeks documentaries that portray music, movements, and histories from around the world. Filmmakers with features, medium-length, or short films are invited to submit their work.
Conference & Mentoring: Proposals are requested from music industry professionals across all sectors to present visions, ideas, and expertise. This segment aims to foster discussion and networking among peers.
