OPPORTUNITY: ABERDEEN PERFORMING ARTS PRESENTS JAM FOR CLIMATE JUSTICE

Aberdeen Performing Arts invites singer-songwriters to join their Jam for Climate Justice series. This project aims to spark new musical collaborations centred on climate justice, culminating in a live performance at the Lemon Tree during Climate Week North-East.

 

What’s on Offer:

  • Collaborate with another artist to compose a song on climate justice.
  • Perform the song live and deliver a 20-minute solo set at the Lemon Tree.
  • Engage with a diverse range of creatives and contribute to an important global conversation.

 

Eligibility and Requirements:

  • Open to Scotland-based singer-songwriters passionate about climate conversation.
  • Willingness to pair up and create with new artists.
  • Live performance experience is preferred.
  • Applicants must be over 18 and reside in Scotland.

 

Compensation:

  • A £600 fee plus travel expenses.
  • Optional rehearsal space at the Lemon Tree, subject to availability.

Event Details:

  • Performance Date: Thursday, 21st March 2024, at the Lemon Tree.
  • Steering Group Meetings: Three 2-hour remote meetings with BSL/Closed Captioning available.
