Scotland’s Events Recovery Fund opens for applications

EventScotland in conjunction with Scottish Government will open Scotland’s Events Recovery Fund today. The Fund is designed to help Scotland’s events sector plan and deliver events through to the end of 2021 and to provide support as the industry responds and adapts to the effects of COVID-19.

The £2.75 million fund replaces EventScotland’s National and Beacon funding programmes on an interim basis, as well as integrating both Scotland’s Winter Festivals and the Scottish Clans and Historical Figures events funds.

The fund will aim to help restart the events sector in line with relevant Scottish Government legislation and guidance, and address additional costs needed to implement new hygiene and health and safety requirements to ensure communities and the public once again feel confident in hosting and attending live events. It will be an open fund without fixed application deadlines and will be available for eligible events planned to take place in Scotland before the end of 2021.
