Song commissioning opportunity for women and non-binary artists from POWA

POWA is open for submissions for commissioning artists to create songs which express the experience of being a woman*.

A song collaboration with POWA looks like this:

  • Selected writers will be paid a fee of £200.

  • You will collaborate with experienced engineers and writers, creating lasting professional relationships.

POWA request your song expresses your experience of being a woman*. Everything else is up to you.

POWA is an anti-harassment, anti-abuse musical collective based in Scotland founded by Siobhan Wilson & Ashley Stein. Since it’s inception in  November 2020, POWA has commissioned songwriters & producers to create new musical works – Rosie Bans, Suse Bear (Good Dog), Fisty Muffs + more. These songs have been extensively featured in blogs, media, and radio generating income during a difficult time for the Music Industry.
