Job Opportunity: Moving Music Workshop Leader (Freelance) at Scottish Chamber Orchestra

Scottish Chamber Orchestra is seeking a creative and experienced movement specialist to join our team of artists and musicians delivering education and community projects in Craigmillar, Edinburgh.

About the opportunity

We are looking for a workshop leader who can lead a block of eight weekly workshops per school term, starting in September 2022 and continuing to June 2023. This equates to a total of 24 workshops per year. The schools involved in these workshops are Niddrie Mill Primary School, Castleview Primary School, and Brunstane Primary School.

The rates of pay for this work are £250 per full-day session, and £190 per half-day session. SCO will pay additional fees for meetings and preparation sessions to be agreed in advance, and to cover PVG application costs and reasonable travel expenses.

About you

This role will suit someone who has a demonstrable commitment to making a positive difference to children’s lives and practical experience of delivering creative, movement-based workshops for children.
