Online Live Concerts – share your experience with PRS for Music

Citing feedback from its members, PRS for Music announced an amendment to its controversial tariff for small-scale livestreamed shows which was announced last month. Following significant back-lash from across the industry, the amendment means that artists performing their own material during the period the live sector is forced to remain closed can now obtain a licence at no cost.

PRS for Music are now seeking feedback to to better understand members’ and key stakeholders’ experience of the online concert market, and how it is changing the way music is being used.

The survey will explore the ways in which licensing currently gives performers and venues the greatest freedom to perform with the confidence that music creators are getting properly paid.

The survey is open until 12 March.

Any feedback provided will be completely anonymous and will be used solely to help shape how PRS license online live events in the future.
