We deliver our work through the creation of Big Noise programmes within communities, and currently run five programmes; Govanhill in Glasgow, Raploch in Stirling, Torry in Aberdeen, Douglas in Dundee and Wester Hailes in Edinburgh.
This is an exciting opportunity to join our organisation as part of the dynamic team in Big Noise Govanhill delivering a visionary, socially driven children’s orchestra centre.
At Big Noise Govanhill you will be part of a team who work with children from pre-school, primary school, secondary school, and adults.
The team are creative in designing and introducing new ways of learning as we use the orchestra to grow children’s confidence, respect, aspiration, drive and understanding.
As part of the team you will develop innovative ways to engage children and families, including home visits and community performances.
Educated to degree level or equivalent, experience of working with large and varied groups of children is essential, along with a track record of success in giving music instruction to children on your specialist instrument.
This is a permanent post, working 2 days per week (Tuesday & Wednesday) during school term time only.
The salary scale is £30,711 – £35,260 per annum (pro rata)
(New staff are appointed on the first point of the scale)
