Aberdeen Performing Arts are looking for a Head of Technical and Operations to join the leadership team at a pivotal time for Aberdeen Performing Arts as we recover, rebuild and re-imagine in a post pandemic world.
This new role brings together the technical and operations teams in the organisation – covering stage management, stage electrics, facilities management, repairs and maintenance, housekeeping and health and safety. Its a critical role ensuring Aberdeen Performing Arts offer first class, seamless customer service to artists and visiting companies, as well as ensuring our venues are in the best possible condition and a safe and welcoming environment for all who visit.
You’ll have significant responsibility for people, services and standards across our business, and you’ll bring expertise, vision and creativity to play a key role in the management, operations and strategic planning of venues. You’ll be the operational lead for health and safety, and be a key player in our environmental sustainability objectives. You’ll be a hands-on, visible leader, with a flexible, proactive and pragmatic approach. You’ll be someone with significant management experience in a creative organisation, experience of working in a technical discipline within the arts and culture, with facilities management experience.
