In partnership with PRS Foundation the Wide Days 2022 Artist Development Programme will support six acts based in Scotland, to develop opportunities internationally (including the rest of the UK).
Applications are now open to solo-artists and bands of any genre and are now extending the opportunity to studio-based creators – songwriters, composers, producers and DJs making original music. To apply, please read the criteria and requirements below, then follow the button to the application form.
Artists will receive two day-long industry workshops with experts covering topics such as collection societies (PRS, PPL and MCPS), social media, music law, preparing for industry events and health. Acts will also have the option of a professional photoshoot and be given bespoke mentoring from a relevant industry expert following the showcase.
The six acts selected will be given a 20-minute showcase slot on the Friday evening of Wide Days to perform in front of an industry and public audience. Acts will also receive a high-quality filmed performance video and professional live photos to use beyond the event.
All acts will receive ongoing support from the Wide Days team. This will include regular follow up meetings to identify and follow-up on any immediate outcomes from the showcase, and to assist with future planning and industry connections. Wide Days will also proactively seek further international showcase opportunities for all Talent Development Programme artists.
Following the closing date of 13 January, all eligible applications will go forward for grading by an industry panel made up of promoters, media, festival bookers. A shortlist of 20 acts will be taken forward to a second industry panel of international showcase and festival bookers. Of the final 10 acts selected, an interview will be held and the final line-up informed.
Applications close Sunday Jan 16th at 23:59.
