Apply as a musician to the Jerwood Jazz Encounters Programme development opportunity

Applications are open for the second cycle of the Jerwood Jazz Encounters Programme, an artist development opportunity for up to four early-career jazz artists to create and develop ground-breaking new ways to present jazz at Festivals and outdoor sites across England.

During the 18-month programme, artists will conceive and deliver an outdoor, site-specific or digital work to be hosted by one of the co-producing partners, as well as benefitting from a range of additional support and training throughout the programme including R&D funding, in-depth mentoring, participation in a Creative Lab and more.

Applications are open to UK-based jazz artists who have been working as a professional musician/composer/artist for between three and 10 years.

Applications open on Monday 6 December 2021 and the deadline for applicants is 5:00PM on Monday 24 January 2022.
