The UK Chancellor Rishi Sunak is has announced £408m in extra funding for Britain’s culture sector in his budget statement for 2021.
More than £300m will be added to the £1.57bn Culture Recovery Fund while national museums will receive £90m in emergency funding to help keep them afloat until they are permitted to reopen, according to the BBC.

The extension of furlough and SEISS until September has also been announced and widened to include people who declared themselves self-employed in their 2019-20 tax, who up until now have not been eligible.
