Runrig’s Brian Hurren is opening a new music school in Falkirk in the hope of getting more youngsters involved with instruments.

The renowned musician and producer runs BHMA in Stirling, but now feels it’s time to get Falkirk into tune with his new studio opening in The Tattie Kirk, at 40 Cow Wynd.

Students will be given the choice to focus on learning a specific instrument or take the opportunity to learn the range of instruments they have on offer with lessons in keyboard, piano, guitar, drums, bass and music technology.

The venue, which officially opens on Wednesday December, 1, is holding a special open day on Saturday November, 27, between 12pm and 4pm.
