Guide to Music and the SDGs from new Center for Music Ecosystems

The new Center for Music Ecosystems, a global research NGO dedicated to increasing the value of music in communities, have published a guide to music and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Written in concert with a number of UN agencies and private sector partners, the ‘Guide to Music and the SDGs’ offers a new model to think about the impact music can have on our world and how we can meet the Global Goals around sustainability by 2030.

Covering each of the 17 Global Goals, the guide offers examples, guidance & a new framework that merges the global language of music with the global language of sustainability.

The report is being launched at the SDG Global Festival of Action, alongside the launch of an SDG Music Network formed by the Music Cities Community – a free, global network to collaborate across music and the SDGs.
