Amb:IT:ion Scotland is a Scottish Arts Council funded initiative to improve skills and knowledge of social media to help creative industries in business development.
To promote the organisation, and encourage participation, Amb:IT:ion Scotland is running a series of roadshow workshops around the country. The first one is at Eden Court Theatre in Inverness on Thursday 18 March. SMIA board member Dougal Perman is presenting a seminar about online promotion with his colleague Andy McColgan. The seminar, entitled See and be Seen, Hear and be Heard, will be a practical session taking participants through how to use a suite of freely available online services as part of a social media marketing strategy. Dougal and Andy delivered two related seminars at Scotland on Tour and Showcase Scotland during Celtic Connections.
The event also features a keynote speech by freelance writer and consultant to the BBC, Bill Thompson, advice sessions from the Intellectual Assets Centre and New Media Scotland, amongst others. For more information on the event, and to register, go to their Event Brite page:
