Oasis star Noel swoops on Usher Hall with his new band

HE is one of music’s biggest names and has chosen the relatively intimate surroundings of the Usher Hall to play one of just three gigs.
Noel Gallagher will be returning to the Capital in October for what is set to be one of the most sought-after performances of the year.

The Oasis star announced that the debut live shows of Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds will take place in Dublin, Edinburgh and London.

The gigs mark the first ever live set he will perform with the High Flying Birds and will be the singer’s first live performance since his two headlining slots at London’s Royal Albert Hall for last year’s Teenage Cancer Trusts shows.

Karl Chapman, general manager of the Usher Hall, said attracting Noel Gallagher was a “real coup” for the venue.
