SMIA AGM -
19th January – 7pm – The Universal, Glasgow
Our AGM will be open to both members and non-members and it will also be your opportunity to sign up for membership.
We will combine our AGM with the first of our quarterly SMIA members events which provide an open forum for the members to shape our plans for the next 6 months and to tell us how we are doing from their perspective. This will be followed by a quick drink and then we will be off to the opening night of Celtic Connections festival club. The first 30 members to sign up for membership on the night will receive a complimentary ticket.

Music Meet Up –
Thursday 26 January 2012 – 08:30am – SocietyM, Glasgow
We will be launching our new Monthly Music Meet Ups, these are informal breakfast time networking events, with an invited guest to present on their work. The series will launch with a profile of the new interactive music tour of Glasgow – Walking Heads www.walkingheads.net this will be followed up with a profile of Glasgow-based label, event promoters, djs and artists, Numbers http://nmbrs.net/ who will talk about their last year that saw them releasing underground classics by Jamie XX, Mosca and Deadboy, showcasing in the USA and at Sonar and how six friends came to be running one of the most exciting record labels in the UK.
The first of these will take place on Thursday 26 January at 8:30 am at Society M at CitizenM hotel on Renfrew Street. We are starting early so that we can invite delegates along from Showcase Scotland and Scotland on Tour, and so our members can attend these events.
