The SMIA are coordinating the third Scottish Independent Music Fair, which will take place on Saturday 8th December at Chambre 69 in Glasgow between 1 and 6pm.

The event will feature stalls from Scotland’s finest independent record labels and independent record and music shops, who will have records, CDs, t-shirts, clothing and other merchandise, as well as some musical supplies. Throughout the afternoon there will be live music from label artists as well as DJs, special food offers and a bar.

Entry is free and the event is timed to coincide with the festive shopping period, offering the ideal opportunity to buy local produced music and other merchandise as Christmas gifts.

Labels already confirmed include: Armellodie Records, Chemikal Underground, Song By Toad Records, Gerry Loves Records, Rock Action Records, Olive Grove, Rub A Dub, LOVE Music, Chaffinch Records and Overlook Records, with more to be added in the coming weeks.

Live music will come from Jo Mango, Le Thug, Colin Reid (Cuddly Shark) and Rick Redbeard (Phantom Band) with more artists to be announced. In between there will be DJs providing music throughout the afternoon.
